ToolKit CS™ is available on the web via our Hosted Solution to give customers more flexibility, & time-saving while cutting costs. The Hosted solution is very popular with our clients.
We are using the latest Cloud Technology to enable our users to access their CDM and Asbestos data from their home, office or laptop. The solution negates the need for heavy reliance on internal IT departments; removing hassle and providing management of the application directly by ourselves. In addition it makes users more flexible as they now have the ability to operate in more working environments.
Ai Solutions has an 'Enterprise' application, which is read-only and accessible via any standard web-browser (such as Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox and Google Chrome), allowing external parties to view CDM and Asbestos data online in a controlled and secure manner. This application provides up-to-date information for those involved in CDM projects or requiring access to the Asbestos Register, eliminating the need for paper based systems, as all documents can be viewed or downloaded when required at any time of the day or night.
This month, we are delivering a new application that can run on your mobile device (more on this below). You can now be more productive for even more of your time!
We would like to introduce our 'new' ToolKit CS™ Mobile Web Application. This new addition to our product portfolio is available to you now. The application has been designed for use on mobile devices with an internet connection (such as iPhone, Blackberry, Nokia, Android based smart-phones, etc) and gives you the ability to access your data wherever you are:-
Our new mobile web application gives access to your Knowledge Centre which you can develop to include any amount of library data or policy documents plus our extensive knowledge base, and your CDM and Asbestos data. It gives the flexibility you need in your day-to-day CDM and Asbestos activities, allowing you to make best use of your time. It is secure and uses the same technology and permissions as your current ToolKit CS™. With the same login as the normal ToolKit CS™, your users will benefit from easy access, with screens of data designed to fit in well with the latest web applications as well as being 'familiar' to your users.
The benefits are obvious with additional time saving as you can now update ToolKit CS™ while on site. There is no need to return to the office to update the system; you can update ToolKit™ from your mobile phone and go straight to the next job! The new technology will aid you in your day-to-day activities so you can therefore be more productive, more flexible, saving travel costs, time, effort etc. as everything is 'real-time'.
If you would like to see the new application in action, we are providing a 'Mobile-Web-App-Workshop' on Tuesday 1st November 2011. To reserve your place, please call a member of the team on 01525 850080 as places will be limited. Don't forget to bring your mobile device with you on the day to see the application in action (your mobile device must have internet access).
We read on the TUC web site recently that a new 'Talent Retention Solution' has been launched in North East England. The aim is to match defence workers who are potentially facing redundancy to career opportunities in engineering and advanced manufacturing.
For more on this story see Talent Retention Solution launched in North East England.
We are seeing a lot more construction projects using the latest building technologies. These enable the development of modern sustainable designs through better use of energy and renewable resources. In the building and design sector we have to consider varying lifestyles and expanding industrialisation, which may contribute to degradation and destruction of the natural environment. We also have to consider 'how' we manage the site waste from our construction works:-
At Ai Solutions we always have our ear to the ground and we have now included the facility to add in your Site Waste Management Plans (SWMP) into our CDM ToolKit CS™ system. You also have the ability to track if they are complete, per project, per area, per Principal Contractor, etc.
To find out what ToolKit™ has to offer your organisation please call a member of the team on 01525 850080.
We note that there are a number of health and safety events over the next few months especially for those of you who are Contractors on building sites. In addition, for those Clients among you, there is an event about 'making health and safety management systems' work for you.
If you would like to find out more about what's going on in your area see the HSE Events pages.
We regularly receive updates from our customers and contacts about changes to legislation, the latest rumours and so on. We try to be selective with what we pass on and acknowledge our sources as appropriate. If you have information of general interest in the Health & Safety, and particularly, CDM and Asbestos Management arena, then please let us know by e-mail if possible.
