Our new release is a weighty affair. Technically, this is a combined upgrade and service release rolled into one and accommodates ToolKit CS™ users on any Microsoft Windows operating system from Windows 95 to Windows XP. The Release updates users of our Microsoft Jet / Access database, SQL database and web browser based products running over the Internet, Intranet or corporate Extranet.
Release 10 introduces five new features. These include our new E-Learning suite, Alerts and Reminders, System Tray, Organisation Wizard, and new Departmental Licensing Options and User Rights. There are in addition, ten enhancements which some users will find highly significant, depending on how they use ToolKit CS™.
E-Learning is a significant addition in that it is a new web based module that allows Enterprise users to benefit from extended on-line training facilities. Training includes ToolKit CS™ Training for our CDM or asbestos management applications as standard. However, administrators can extend this, using a new ToolKit CS™ interface. They can now include any number of training courses using any computer-based media available to them.
New hires, for instance could have their induction training included here so that they can complete their training on-line using their own workstation and web browser from a location of their choice. The administrator(s) can set the courses up, assign each to groups of users, and issue alerts and reminders to users to carry out the courses. As courses are completed, the administrator will see the course results, access to courses by individuals and so on.
We have provided information on all the features in Release 10 on our web site. The new release has been distributed to ToolKit CS™ customers so if you have not received your update, please contact your administrator.
Part of Microsoft's commitment to us includes the provision of a Customer Satisfaction Survey conducted by TNS Prognostics a world leader in these issues. The survey is designed to provide an independent Customer Satisfaction Index for us and to point the way to improving our services to our customers.
We are very grateful to those users who have registered to take part in this exercise and look forward to the outcome with interest.
HSE have advised us that the proposed revisions to the CDM Regulations are now due to be presented to CONIAC in November and then, subject to HSC agreement, they will be available for consultation in Spring 2005.
One of the issues we would like to address next year is the provision of a software management system, based on ToolKit CS™, to manage health and safety audits. We are continuing our market research in this area and need to assess the likely interest in what will be an innovative approach to managing the provision, assessment and trends from audits carried out by company personnel. Please help us formulate our 'direction' by registering your interest.
As regular readers will know, the 13th January 2005 is our tenth anniversary. We are planning an anniversary offer which will be announced in due course via our marketing e-mails. Please make sure you are registered to receive these directly via email so that you do not lose out!
