The new "Duty to Manage Asbestos" finally became Law on the 21st May 2004. The long preparation time is over! We look forward to helping more and more duty holders carry out their health & safety duties for their businesses throughout the UK and beyond. To help those small businesses looking to acquire management software for asbestos, we are delighted to offer the following software package that will help provide the management services required of them by the new regulations from the HSE.
The proposed updates to the CDM regulations are now expected to move from the HSE's internal evaluation process to the external Consultative Document stage by the end of the year. We will keep you posted as the story unfolds. Our intention is to keep our software ahead of any changes to the regulations so that our users are adequately served.
The HSE have a self assessment form to help organisations assess their commitment to duties under the CDM Regulations. This is an innovative approach by the HSE and, in our view it is well worth spending a few minutes to study it. The H&S exhibition at the NEC Birmingham 11-13 May 2004 was a success. We enjoyed a steady flow of interested visitors in both our CDM and Asbestos Management software and in particular, our corporate approach to these specialised solutions.
