The HSE has a useful web site regarding health surveillance. Health surveillance allows for early identification of ill health and corrective actions can be implemented. If your staff are exposed to noise, vibration, solvents, fumes, dust, biological agents and other substances hazardous to health or work in compressed air you need to be aware of the hazards involved. The HSE has issued new guidance which it hopes will provide employers confidence that they are doing what they need to do to protect their workers' health.
