Scotland - New Firth of Forth Bridge
26 June 2013
We heard on the radio this morning that the planned Forth crossing name, as announced by Scotland's first minister Alex Salmond, is to be Queensferry Crossing. This is after a public vote from a list of suggested names.
The construction of the new Forth Replacement Crossing is due to be completed in 2016 and this project is one of the largest Scotland has undertaken; costing £800m it is intended to replace the old Firth of Forth Bridge which is suffering for corrosion.
