As the temperature rises into the eighties, many of us are concentrating on sun, sea and sand to while away the stresses of life; to recharge the batteries. The reality is that we have to come back and face the challenges of the workplace sooner of later. Our focus in this regard remains the management of health & safety legislation including CDM and Asbestos Management but with the inclusion of assurance tools across the corporate organisation.
We are excited about our new software releases due in about 8 weeks time. Working with our key customers, we have a heady list of requests and ideas that have exercised our minds over the past months. As one of our prospects indicated recently, the issue with software development is to 'keep it simple - not to provide an overwhelming bunch of features that are impossible to understand let alone use'.
We have nearly 10 years experience in providing 'interfaces' between relatively complex issues and users who, in the end, want an easy route to managing their problems. Simplicity, the minimum number of key strokes, intuitive menus, standardisation with standard Microsoft Office software are all necessary attributes that we take very seriously and develop positively with our users in mind. Training to back this up, on line, locally, in groups, standalone, are all part of the solution and need to be managed 'holistically' both for the individual and for the organisation. That is why we are developing new products that allow any training to be included alongside our own, and managed by the user's organisation.
The organisation then needs the assurance that the system's approach addressed by our software is in fact being managed and not just being 'installed' and paid lip service to. The monitoring of the quality control or audit process is the key to this. Reported directly into ToolKit CS™, the auditing process will become the cornerstone of our new ToolKit™ Assurance product that we will be showcasing to selected parties over the next months.
Our online training software is already producing significant cost benefits. In its first 2 weeks in operation with one of our major customers it has covered one third of the cost of the purchase. Needless to say, our customer is delighted and continues to work with us to further develop and extend the functionality and audit facilities from the software.
Many of you have got to know Charles Hewett in his supporting role within software development. His many years of experience have allowed him to gain a great insight into how we should adapt our software solutions to meet the ever changing needs of our customers. The great news is that he now fulfils a new role as a Sales Executive so that he can help even more organisations find out how to fulfil their needs for CDM and Asbestos Management. I am sure you will want to wish him every success and you can contact him on 01525 850080 or via our web site.
