We have always thought of August as a good time to catch up. Currently with a brimming diary and work plan, 2001 seems to be bucking the trend! We have new products to launch, a new promotional CDROM with full evaluation copies of our core software and an offer for contractors that must be the finest in the market?
September and October bring new seminars including our first Construction Industry Seminar concentrating on the Health and Safety Executive’s CDM and Asbestos regulations; Our autumn planning includes a joint seminar with Microsoft and the launch of new products from ourselves for 2002. No wonder we are busy!
Finally, our Tips & Tricks section has been introduced to pass on some extra hints about our products for our users and we hope you find this useful.
We are continuing to support HSE, as they support us, by publicising their Asbestos Awareness Campaign. This is part of our remit to improve health & safety in the construction industry with audited management information systems. The article "The Duty to Manage Asbestos", written by the HSE, contains much advice and guidance for everyone involved in the subject.
A key issue is that many buildings managers are both unaware that they have responsibilities for Asbestos and are not briefed on how they should approach the issue and do not understand the restricted timescale the new law will give them to carry out their duties. This, coupled with the inadequate resources for surveying Asbestos in the UK, adds up to a mix that is likely to go badly wrong for a majority of building managers unless they tune into their new duties quickly. The HSE have a briefing programme to help manage this.
We have now launched our Asbestos Register management software and for the months of August and September this will be available for an offer price of £99 plus VAT for a single user license. This is a discounted price from £249 plus £249 for maintenance and upgrades. We are offering it with free maintenance and upgrades for the first 12 months to a limited number of customers. This is a first come first served offer, so please be one of the first to benefit from this new product that will help you cope with the new Asbestos Regulations for all your premises.
Our web site has details of the offer or you can contact us direct. The Asbestos ToolKit™ Lite provides all the routines you need to manage your Asbestos Register database, Surveys and Monitoring across all your sites. Users can be set up 'read only' or with 'full editing' rights. The product is designed for any size of network with the main database on a network server or on a standalone PC. This is a real bargain at under £100 so please let us have your order now!
This offer is for all those contractors who understand the need for a really helpful solution to provide Construction Phase Health & Safety Plans and Health & Safety Files. The CDM ToolKit™ for Contractors standalone version is supplied complete with our standard CDM knowledge base plus our Building Contractors knowledge base to help contractors through the provision of method statements and risk assessments. Included, you will find over 20 standard health and safety forms to help you through the CDM process.
This offer is equally relevant to new users, to corporate users of our CDM ToolKit™ 2000 software or the cdmuk.com solution. Our existing users can export or import their projects to their Contractors and Principal Contractors who use this software, so this is a good opportunity for those customers to improve their CDM Management by having their contractors using the same software solution!
Project documents can be published to the web so that other project collaborators can share documentation and information quickly and easily, using the cdmuk.com site; this includes a project bulletin board and project e-mail interface for easy access to project information. Normally supplied at £1499 plus £299 per year for maintenance, support and updates, the product is on offer for August only for £125 plus £299 per year plus VAT; that totals less than £500 and represents a saving of about £1100!
Please note that this offer ends on 31 August 2001 and payment can be by cheque or credit card.
New this month, we now have a free promotional CDROM that presents information about Ai Solutions, CDM and Asbestos. In addition, we have included free evaluation copies of our software for those who want to find out more about us and our products. Please contact us if you would like a copy.
