Plansafe Solutions was incorporated in 1995 by founder shareholder and former H M Inspector of Health and Safety, David Wood. The company used the newly introduced Construction (Design and Management) Regulations as a launch pad for its early activities and quickly established itself as Planning Supervisors, which created an immediate stream of work. Plansafe was one of the first company's to offer training in the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2007 and continues to offer the service of CDM Co-ordinator on projects ranging from new build housing to new build Educational Academies and hospitals.

General health and safety consultancy was built into the company's offer of service and developed a client base which spans construction, structural engineering, general manufacturing and land based industries. David Wood developed his role as an Expert Witness and now works on both civil and criminal cases over the length of the country.

The company started asbestos surveying in 2004 when they employed and trained their first asbestos surveyor. This division of the business is now UKAS Accredited and has grained increased importance within the company, along with our UKATA accredited asbestos training division which delivers both Category B & C training. Our training division is also an IOSH registered training provider for Managing and Working Safely.

Fire Risk Assessment is an area that Plansafe has developed during the last two years. We employ a member of the Institution of fire Engineers who is included on the Institution's Register of Fire Risk Assessors. Formerly Area Manager – Head of Fire Safety with Dumfries and Galloway Fire Brigade he has vast experience in this field of work.
