Competition Time
We have been running a monthly competition for 2 months now. The winners for those months were;
- July 2001: Tim Evans, Planning Supervisor, GNER
- August 2001: Joy Paul, Designer, Airmech (Dubai) LLC
The August Competition, is we believe worth another look because of the really interesting result.
- We asked the question; "Which Principal, according to the (CDM) regulations, has to make the client aware of the CDM duties of the client?"
- The correct answer is "The Designer".
- Only one third of the entries were correct! Of these 56% were designers and 44% were planning supervisors.
- 100% of our overseas entries (which made up 10% of the total) were correct and they were all designers.
Monthly winners for July and August are receiving a free copy of our CDM ToolKit™ 2000 software for their own use for a year.
September Competition Question
This month we are offering a copy of our new Asbestos ToolKit™ Lite product. To be put into the competition draw, please answer the following question on our web site;
"How many people are estimated to have died from an asbestos related disease in the past year?"
You need to select the answer from one of 3 choices on our web site. Please visit http://www.aisolutions.co.uk to enter your answer and get those entries rolling in!
ToolKit™ Tips and Tricks
We have introduced this new 'spot' to pass on tips and information from our developers to our ToolKit™ users. We all hope you find this helpful;
- Did you know that you can manipulate all of the grids in CDM ToolKit™ 2000 to hide, change the order, sort and group columns to your own requirements (just like in Microsoft Outlook) - and this will be saved for the next time that you load that grid.
- To access these functions, click with your mouse on the column headings:
- To Hide a column: right click on the column heading and select 'Hide Column' from the menu.
- To un-hide columns, right click on a column heading and select 'Columns' from the menu; then check the box next to the fields you wish to display.
- To Change the order of columns: left click and drag a column to a new location.
- To Sort by a column: left click on the column heading.
- To Group by a column: right click on the column heading and select 'Group by this column' from the menu.
- To Group on more than one column: right click on a column heading and select 'Groupings' from the menu; select the fields to group by and click 'OK'.
- To remove Groupings: right click on the column headings, select 'Groupings' and click 'OK'.
Why not try it out in the Summary and maybe group by 'Type' and then sort by 'Due Date'.
