Asbestos Management Programme

The establishment of clear lines of responsibility is fundamental to the effective management of asbestos. The HSE advise that the following actions need to be taken to establish an effective management programme;

1. Carry out a survey of premises to locate and assess the ACM
2. Record the result of the survey in an easily retrievable form including a schematic plan or sketch map showing the location of asbestos items
3. Use the recorded data to make a risk assessment
4. Draw up an Asbestos Management Plan
