Asbestos Disposal

The Special Waste Regulations 1996 set out the controls and procedures for asbestos disposal. These regulations apply whether the asbestos waste is on a large or very small scale.

The asbestos waste can only be disposed of at a site which is licensed. It should be clearly labeled, with the label prescribed for asbestos and double bagged in heavy duty polythene bags.
