Tanks

Hazard Related Topics

Tanks can be a potential hazard area whether found in the existing context as part of the existing site e.g. the site has been used as a filling station and the old fuel tanks still exist, or as part of the construction process e.g. installed to carry the heating fuel for the boilers. In the latter case they are again a potential hazard in the maintenance cleaning and repair phase as they must be cleaned and maintained. Indeed they may be a potential hazard on the site itself if pressure vessels are installed for the storage of LPG or fuel for site vehicles. The health and safety plan should detail the principal hazards.
