Sources
Under the Construction (Design & Management) Regulations the client has the responsibility to provide information about the existing site to the principal designer for inclusion in the Construction Phase Plan. Therefore much of the information to be recorded in the site plan and history can be obtained from this source if the project qualifies for notification under the CDM regulations. Where it does not, the client should be able to supply most of the information and the remainder can be obtained from the local utility companies, the local authority and by observation of the site and its environs.
