Legislation
The Control of Substances Hazardous to Health Regulations makes it a legal duty for those responsible to carry out an assessment to identify, assess and prevent or control risks to health from Substances Hazardous to Health.
In general substances which carry a label relating to health effects as specified in the Chemicals (Hazard Information and Packaging for Supply) Regulations are classified as "substances hazardous to health" under the COSHH Regulations.
