Lighting

As construction work may well start early in the day, late in the day and possibly overnight there is a requirement that sufficient lighting be provided by the relevant contractor. The contractor must so far as is reasonably practicable ensure that the level of lighting provided:-

• in any area where a person performs construction work under the project
• anywhere where a person may be required to pass through in order to perform that work, including access ways and emergency exits
• permits that work or passage to take place without risk to the person
