Safe Place of Work, Access and Egress

Regulation 23 details what the principal contractor should have in place for the safety of all on site in regarding access/egress of site. The relevant contractor must, so far as reasonably practicable, ensure that all persons undertaking construction work are provided with a safe place of work and safe access to, and egress from, all places on the site where they may be required to work or pass.

This includes the provision of appropriate emergency access and egress routes and the maintenance of these free of obstructions. For more information see existing services.
