Site Rules

Site rules should be detailed in the construction phase plan by the Principal Contractor. They may well differ from site to site dependant on the hazards on the site, access and egress, power / overhead lines etc. What the HSI do not want to see is a set of generic site rules so some though as to the health and safety on site and how it will be managed should be undertaken. All persons accessing the site should be taken through the site rules at their ‘site induction’. It also is advisable to regularly check that workers on site are aware of the rules.
