Lifting

Arrangements for 'lifting operations' for materials should be included in design and in the Construction Phase Plan.

Specific hazardous operations required by the project involving the lifting and man-handling of plant, equipment and materials must be identified. If appropriate the need for method statements should be identified. Wherever possible designers should specify those materials which allow ease of handling.
