Construction Health and Safety Legislation

As well as the requirements of the general health and safety legislation discussed above, the construction industry has a specialist series of regulations which places duties on all contractors. This legislation is contained in four principal sets of regulations as follows:

• Lifting Operations and Lifting Equipment Regulations
• Construction (Health Safety & Welfare) Regulations
• Construction (Design & Management) Regulations
