February 2026
With January finally done and dusted, its safe to say, we are back to ‘business as usual’. New year, new start? We wonder, what more can be done to ensure everybody keeps safe in the workplace this year? There is always room for improvement and safety is key! It is our responsibility as a whole to keep each other safe. This means ensuring the use of correct PPE, following all relevant health & safety legislation and reporting any issues to relevant parties. This is so important, and could literally save the life of a worker or potentially a member of the public.
Moving on, we believe that many of our readers would benefit from ‘digital Information’ being more readily available (24/7) to all those that need it. Does this happen in your organisation? Perhaps it is time to re-think the situation and see what is out there to facilitate this, CDM ToolKit CS Cloud can help you with this.
To Support this digital age, should we not be thinking about ‘Quality versus Quantity? It is great to have the data, except it must be relevant and up to date. Otherwise it wont be read or reviewed and therefore becomes useless.

Space Firm £27k Fine
We saw on the BBC website that a space firm has recently been fined £27,000 for safety issues. The HSE stated that the prosecution was entirely avoidable in July 2022; they stated that its inspectors identified concerns with how the firm used the metalworking fluids. Despite being issued with formal improvement notices a follow up inspection found the company had not reduced the risk of inhaling fluid mist and the prosecution began in January 2024.
