Olympics: Good Stuff
It makes you proud to be British doesn't it? With the Olympics finishing on a high and the Paralympics looking like they will change people's perceptions about athletes with physical disabilities we can all take a win out of the whole affair. Its legacy will be long term as opinions about Britain change and the amazing buildings that are left stand proud along the skyline.
It was great coverage throughout the whole affair and, even if you were a little 'jaded' initially, I am sure you got swept along on the high that it caused. There is not one person that I have spoken to that didn't have something good to say about it. So well done organisers and those who supported the events and a very special well done to the designers and architects whose innovative ideas are providing the structural legacy for Britain.
For once we seem to have got it right, from initial design through to end product. On top of this no lives were lost during the construction, quite an achievement really. Let us all build on the positive energy that the Olympic games has left us and go on to even greater things!
