Service Release 3
Service Release 3 is now available after many months of preparation and testing. The list below itemises the more significant enhancements, Options and Brand additions that have been made to this market-leading product. What is not shown is the extensive list of minor changes to the product, which are all designed to make it easier to use. This is a major release and we look forward to our Customers’ feedback.

- Redesigned Preferences Grid for individual users
- New Version Control which automatically saves facsimile copies of all printed reports (see insert)

New Version Control with Print Preview
- New Print Preview control with improved formatting features including margins and section numbering for all documents
- Additional Project Replication Wizard for replicating projects easily
- New Gridview control for list management so that users can group information on demand
- New Treeview control to improve system performance
- New external Audit Database to allow network users to manage large audit databases separately from the main product
- Updated User Manual and Installation Guide
- Updated Product Guide
- Updated KnowledgeBase
Options
This release enables the Permissions Option to be supplied to network users. The option allows administrators to set up groups of personnel, each with many members each with many permissions down to document section level. This is a very versatile approach designed with organisations running more than one department where the sharing of information and the ability to 'edit' and 'read' specified information needs to be controlled. This option is available for an additional license payment.
Brands
This release enables the Maintenance Brand to be supplied to any user. The option allows users to set up and manage the Building Centre Trust’s model Maintenance Manual + Health & Safety File. An additional KnowledgeBase is incorporated to support the new brand and is based on the Trust’s documentation that is provided under license from them. This brand is available for an additional license payment.
The Next Steps in Development
To further enhance these important developments, we are also announcing two New Options for users:
- Away From Base: allows users to replicate & re-synchronize their database when working away from & returning to their network.
- Forms Editor: allows users to design their own forms within CDM ToolKit 2000 to display selected data.
Please call for pricing and availability of these Options.
Free Training Places for Customers
We are introducing new opportunities for our customers to qualify for free training sessions on our CDM ToolKit 2000 product. These are associated with Customer referrals.
We understand the importance of referral business and are keen do more to reward those Customers who successfully help us promote the CDM ToolKit to new organisations. During year 2000, we will provide a free of charge place on a CDM ToolKit 2000 training course for every license sold through a customer referral. Network licenses for, say, 5 users will qualify for an equal number of places (in this case 5). All training under the above offers will be carried out at our Leighton Buzzard offices.
We hope you can take part in this promotion and, provided you are a customer, ask you to call us to see how you can qualify for your free place.
