Record and Condition
Asbestos Knowledge Base
Record where the ACMs or presumed ACMs are and their condition.
The Duty Holder needs to prepare a drawing or some other record which shows the location of all known and presumed ACMs in and around the building s for which he or she is responsible. Where there are areas which cannot be readily inspected, such as roofs, heating ducts, and behind ceiling tiles and wall partitions, ACMs should be presumed to be present unless there is sufficient evidence to the contrary and the plan should be annotated appropriately.
The drawings can be scanned into a PC system - or created in one - and attached to an asbestos register database. Our asbestos management software is designed to accommodate this electronically with network access.
