The impact of health and safety legislation on the construction industry means that building contractors without relevant health and safety systems in place will be unable to operate on construction projects. This is because clients and principal contractors will not employ contractors who cannot demonstrate their relevant skills, knowledge and expertise in terms of health and safety.
The CDM ToolKit™ for Contractors is designed to allow every building contractor to meet their statutory obligations. The documentation generated within the ToolKit™, once completed, allows the contractor to demonstrate to prospective clients and principal contractors that they have the necessary health and safety systems in place to act competently on site. It allows them to spend the minimum time and effort in completing documents, forms and records to meet every requirement of the various pieces of legislation.
