Company Profile

Founded in 1991 as Ai Associates, the Company operated as a consultancy service provider specialising in information technology, health & safety and the construction industry. Recognising the need for a software package to manage the then new CDM regulations, the Company researched and developed what is now the leading CDM software package in the UK. The Company was incorporated as Ai Solutions Ltd in January 1995.

Having used the CDM ToolKit™ throughout 1995 to 1997 for in-house planning supervision work, the Company moved on to become a software developer totally committed to providing solutions for the construction industry. The CDM ToolKit™ was redeveloped to provide a Microsoft Windows Explorer style interface for all projects and project documents.

First to Market

Ai Solutions was first to market with their innovative CDM software and the first supplier of an integrated solution that allows users to publish their project documentation to cdmUK.com, a community web site for everyone involved in the CDM process. The Company has used the expertise developed in house and with their partners to provide a solution for Asbestos Management to coincide with the Control of Asbestos Regulations (CAR) 2006.

Our Experience

As a Microsoft Certified Partner, with well-qualified Microsoft Systems Engineers on the development team, the Company is able to develop computer-based solutions to meet the business needs of most organisations. Applications have been developed to meet the needs of the developing CDM marketplace for 'simple to use' audited management systems that allow organisations to comply with the regulations. The Company has been able to use a single application to service the needs of both large corporate organisations like EDF Energy and Transport for London and small organisations operating with standalone PCs.

Managing Compliance

Based on UK legislation from the Health & Safety Executive, the products have world-wide application to anyone concerned with health & safety compliance. This includes the management of asbestos in properties and for the assessment and management of risk in the construction, design or management process of properties.

ToolKit CS™

ToolKit CS™ products are Microsoft Windows based, integrate with sister applications and provide all the tools required to manage the duty holder’s workspace. These include tasking, communications, integrated document management and a combined 100,000 knowledge base about the application’s environment.
