Founded in 1991, Ai Associates provided a consultancy service in information technology, health & safety and the construction industry. Recognising the need for a software package to manage the then new CDM regulations, the Company researched and developed ToolKit, which has become the leading CDM software package in the UK. The Company was incorporated as Ai Solutions Ltd in January 1995.
Having used CDM ToolKit™ from 1995 to 1997 for in-house planning supervision work, Ai Solutions moved on to become a software developer totally committed to providing solutions for the construction industry. CDM ToolKit™ was redeveloped to provide a Microsoft Windows Explorer style interface for all projects and project documents and was the first integrated CDM management system brought to market. We later built on our expertise to develop an equivalent solution for asbestos management, complying with the Control of Asbestos Regulations.
