The software package is developed from work that started in 1993, with the initial CDM ToolKit™ and has been reworked over time to become the highly successful ToolKit CS™ compliance software.

Abestos Managment Software
Asbestos ToolKit CS™ is a sister product to CDM ToolKit CS™ and was introduced to the UK market in September 2003. The software was developed to meet the requirements of:
- Control of Asbestos at Work 2002 regulations including the Duty to Manage Asbestos in the Workplace that came into force 21 May 2004
- Control of Asbestos 2006 regulations that came into force November 2006
- Methods for the Determination of Hazardous Substances (MDHS 100), the HSE's guidance notes for asbestos surveys published in August 2001.
Asbestos ToolKit CS™ is rooted in the 2004 Duty to Manage imposed on Building & Facility Managers. It allows the audited production of asbestos registers, property and survey documentation, photographs and floor plans, management plans and reports, risk assessments, tasking and communications. Data Exchanging routines are built in so that duty holders can link to any major survey provider’s software and other copies of ToolKit™.
The asbestos solution was developed from a line of management software provided by Ai Solutions Ltd. The CDM product was originally developed to meet the needs of Planning Supervisors when the Construction (Design and Management) regulations which came into force in early 1995. The original ToolKit™ was the first software package to be offered in the marketplace and the early takers including Edinburgh City District Council and Bradford MDC have remained loyal customers throughout that period.
The product has been under continual development since then and is now delivered in a highly modular form. Using the latest Microsoft software, the product is available as Standalone, Workgroup, or Enterprise solutions, fully web enabled and with e-learning where required. Major customers for our systems include EDF Energy and Transport for London, both of whom have been using our products for some years and have encouraged us to provide improvements and enhancements to our standard package including our Enterprise version, integrated web services and e-learning solution.
